Washington Export Resource Center (WERC, WaExports)

The Center of Excellence for Global Trade & Supply Chain Management received a grant from the Community Economic Revitalization Board (CERB) to assist businesses in their export strategy development in order to ultimately grow exports from Washington State.

Through partnerships with Highline College, Pierce College, the Community Colleges of Spokane, Impact Washington, the Export Finance Assistance Center of Washington, the U.S. Export Assistance Center, and the Association of Washington Business Institute, the grant’s objectives and outcomes included outreach and general education on exporting basics, advanced training on export plan preparation, coaching and counseling of Washington companies.

In addition, a valuable online resource was developed – the Washington Export Resource Center, also known as WERC or WaExports.

This website features a variety of international trade and exporting resources for companies wanting to engage in global business, including those new to exporting. For example, for the new entrant to international trade, there is an export readiness assessment as well as a free online exporting course available to anyone.
