There are many careers in global trade and supply chain management, most requiring some amount of additional education, from certificates to master degrees. These careers are broken down into three main categories:

  • Transportation, Distribution & Logistics, including marine cargo shipping, transloading and intermodal, air cargo shipping, freight forwarding, warehousing and storage, and couriers
  • Supply Chain Management, including procurement, sales, import and export of finished and intermediate goods and materials, and customer service
  • Supply Chain Services, including trade finance, compliance, and consulting/market research
