About the COE for Global Trade & Supply Chain Management

Our Mission

The mission of the Center of Excellence for Global Trade & Supply Chain Management is to build a skilled workforce for international trade.

  • Maintain an institutional reputation for innovation and responsive education and training delivery to industry.
  • Act as a broker of information and resources related for industry representatives, community-based organizations, economic development organizations, community and technical colleges, secondary education institutions, and four-year colleges and universities.
  • Translate industry research into best practices.
  • Provide coordination, coaching, and mentoring to assist in building educational pathways.
  • Build a competitive workforce for economic-driver industries in Washington state.

Community

The Center of Excellence for Global Trade & Supply Chain Management is an active member of the Trade Development Alliance of Greater Seattle, the World Trade Club of Greater Seattle, the Washington Council on International Trade, the Transportation Clubs of Seattle and Tacoma, the World Trade Center Tacoma, the African Chamber of Commerce of Seattle, Global Washington, and the Center for Advanced Manufacturing Puget Sound. In addition, the Center works closely with a number of regional organizations associated with global trade and supply chain management, including Port Jobs, the International Trade Alliance of Spokane, the Council of Supply Chain Management Professional, the Seattle-Tacoma Air Cargo Association, and the Customs Brokers and International Freight Forwarders Association of Washington State, among others.
